Why is My Car AC Not Cooling? (Dubai Summer Guide)

The Struggle for Cold Air

In Dubai, a working AC is a necessity, not a luxury. If your vents are blowing lukewarm air, it's usually due to one of these four common issues.

1. Low Refrigerant (AC Gas)
Refrigerant doesn't just 'run out' like petrol; it's a closed system. If your gas is low, it means there is a leak somewhere in the hoses, condenser, or evaporator.

2. Clogged Cabin Air Filter
This is the most overlooked reason for poor cooling. A filter clogged with Dubai's fine dust restricts air flow, making the system work harder with less result.

3. Failing AC Compressor
The compressor is the heart of the system. If the clutch won't engage or the internal seals have failed, the refrigerant can't be pressurized to create cold air.

4. Dirty Condenser
Located in front of your radiator, the condenser releases heat from the AC system. If it's covered in dust and debris, it can't cool the refrigerant effectively.

Pro Tip for Dubai Drivers:
Always use 'Recirculation' mode. This cools the air already inside the cabin rather than trying to cool the 45°C outside air.

Conclusion
Don't suffer through the heat. Bring your car to Abba Auto Center for a professional AC pressure test and recharge.
